Surf fishing newbie
Hi everyone,
I just joined the Forum and are looking for some advise on surf fishing.
Basically I am new to all this and want to get started with my gear, so I need advise as to what equipment I need for surf casting, specially in Costa Rica since I live there ... so if anyone has done some surf casting here it will be nice.
What rod, reel, line, lures, baits/jigs will work better.... I am sorry for asking so many basic questions but I dont want to spend money on stuff I wont need.... so thanks for the advise.

Welcome aboard!
We have a good number of members from Costa Rica and a greater number of sport fishermen who have experience fishing there.
I'm sure they will be able to help you out. I know I've seen people posting pictures or videos of roosterfish caught from the surf in Costa Rica

I'd recommend you visit http://www.clubpesca.com/foro/ This is the Costa Rica National Surfcasting Association Website. There are a lot of information of the subjects. There is actually an upcoming surf fishing seminar on the 16th in the Borbon fishing store if you are interested, its free.

Surf Fishing In the Playa del Coco area
We will be in Coco in June and very interested in finding a good guide to fish the region (do you do that). We can travel to get to the best fishing and really would like to get on some snook. Anything you could share would really be appreciated. Thanks
