Talking Sure is a Trouty looking Red Drum Alec...

As days go this one started early for me with Alec and I meeting at the ramp in the dark at 6:50 am. The day before, I guided 3 clients to one of the best days of Trout and Red Drum fishing that you could ask for. By 10 am, there were 11 Speckle Trout in the cooler, nothing under 3 &1/2 pounds 2 over 4+ with 2 more, way over 5, figures that I would not remember to put my camera in the case. I did manage to get a good picture with my phone, of the cooler with the fish and can't get it in my computer to upload here, such is life...

Alec and I headed back to where I found the fish the day before only to see the boat that was in front of me anchored where I was the day before, some one was watching. We pulled in front of them hoping that we could squeak in the swing in the hole, just past their boat but it was not to be with the wind blowing from the North by north east. Catch 2000 MirrOlures were made for this spot when the Mullet run is on and like the day before, that is what the Trout wanted.

Although the numbers of big fish were not to be, the fish played with us and for the second day in a row we had a ball catching and releasing Trout and watching most of the crowd look for some bites. Great morning with a great friend...

    As many mornings start...

First fish on the morning for us and I was fishing deeper with a M 52 when this bad boy hit, have to say, baby has balls...

Shortly, Alec found the first keeper of the day on a Catch 2000 Pin fish color. (Has a purple back, that was the color yesterday also...)

Toward the end of the tide, Alec found another nice keeper on the Catch, I was pulling drag and he was sure that it was a Red Drum, my words to him..."sure is a Trouty looking Drum Alec" as the drag sung once again...sure enough...

All the best guys as I will be out of internet for a few days after tomorrow guys, as Slip aways says, "Life is good"...
    MirrOlure when big fish count!
