Super Slam on the Flats!!!!

Flats super grand slam!!! Might be time to retire! Started with a 80-100lb tarpon off the dock... Moved to our bone spot. Missed three shots out of the gate then saw a big sickle tail gettin it... The holy grail of the skinny water!!! PERMIT!!! Big one alone and a second with a ray... Second also pretty good sized ate like a champ... 2 hours of nailbiting and chasing around. Some wading some poling the inflatable... About fifteen feet away poor bugger must have ad a heart attack as it just rolled over and laid on the bottom... No reviving this poor girl but wont go to waste...
Got back on the pole. Bone... Bone... and Bone! Theres the slam... Off to deeper water. Weeded through mangroves, grunts, schoolmasters, nurse sharks, lemon sharks, barracudas,,, finally a small mutton...Super slam!
Got back to dock and Sea Crest kicked us out to make room for a skiff with people who were gonna rent rooms which means more income for them. Moved to BGC for the night and wifi is on and off...

Now that is getting it done Deep! congrats on the Permit on 8 pound, that is a feat. I was lucky enough to get a 32 pounder on 8 on fly out of Key West many years ago...

We're still here in Bimini...These fish all shallow water ones... Not like the keys where we pull em off the edge or off the wrecks...
