    spot fly

in oc, the rock fish pretty much only eat live spot in the summer, live bunker, and live mullet. it is very difficult to catch them on jigs. any suggestions on a spot fly?

Yep. A big broad bunker fly tied with Steve Farrar's flash blend could be the ticket.

Easy to tie nice and big, and as the fish chew on it it goes from an adult, down to a juvi sized bait.

There's no point to re-create the wheel here when you can get it directly from the master himself.

Draw a spot on one and some bars and you should be in business.

IMO IT'S VERY HARD TO BLEND THE MATERIALS YOURSELF.....JUST BUY IT.
