Its been a while since I posted a report......hell its been a while since I wet a line, I have been fishing 2 times this year......first trip was in June to spread my fathers ashes...he passed away april 24th at 67 years old, that trip turned to crap with fuel problems. On thursday the 16th we pushed off for some deep water bucktailing for flounder......had a great time and it felt dam good to feel a thump and put a bend in the rod, we ended up with 18 nice keepers to 6 lbs and probably 100 throw backs through out the day......it sure was nice to be out on the water again, im sure pop was smiling as I put it to the guys.....I was on fire all afternoon.
Friday was not a repeat of thursdays action......after one drift about 10 miles off we had an over heating problem, after a long slow tow in and alot of wrenching on saturday.....blown head gasket, likely our season is over.

Nice catch! I can relate to the engine issues, I've had my share this season. It's still nice to know Sea Tow is there when you need them (even if you never want to see that...).

I hear ya, we had a buddy tow us from our slip to minmar to get hoisted onto the trailer........kinda glad I wont have to turn a wrench on that god forsaken motor again to be honest with you......still shopping prices and places but the general consensus is going with a fuel injected 8.1 litre 370 hp mercruiser to replace the 454 carbed pig that was in her.
