Where can you get a shot at catching a Red fish from shore in the Charleston SC area?

my friend used to fish bowens island pier behind the restaurant, ive never fishhed there but he used to do pretty good. its a couple miles from folly on left going towards chas. any creek around there you can get to should do allrite, fish on bottom using shrimp is the easiest way..ask a local folly beachien ( i know, not a word) were the wash out is....good luck
