Yeab but you need a strong line on that reel go with a good 40 to 80 lb braid line with like power pro#65.

line capacity is going to be you downside a sandtiger AKA garbo doesn't put up much as far as runs go blacktips spinners and dusky, especially blacktips will smoke some line off in a hurry. Can you catch them with this setup yes on occasion but you will also get spooled some too. I would look at a Diawa 40 or 50 size saltist as starters. 40-50 Lb braid top shotted with about 120-150 yards of 20# sufix tritanium with a bimini twist to a 60-80lb mono shock with a no name knot then about 5' of 400# mono connected with a 300# barrel swivel put your sinker slider on this section, then another 300# barrel swivel 6" of 400# mono or wire your choice and your hook. That makes a nice castable rig. All connections in the 400# are crimped. The 400# also give you something nice to pull with when you get it to the wash, where with wire you better have a glove on or it will cut you quick. Most of the time we throw 10-14 oz of weight along plus our bait so your rod needs to be able to handle that as much as fighting the fish.
