We fished from can to can't Saturday. Me and the bride were aboard the our camping buddy's boat the Tammie Lynn. We left the dock a little bit after first light and headed up to Leeville to get gas and bait. Badabing bait shop didn't have any hoes but they had some nice shrimp.
So after getting our provisions we headed out to an island in a big bay. We picked up a few there but could not get exactly where we wanted because 3 boats were already there. So we ran to a sunken island (there are a bizzillion of these in LA) and picked up a few. we kept moving north to the rumored green water........we never found any trout green water. so we headed south to a another sunken island. while setting up, a neighbor came by and said they had caught there limit at .......so off we went. the bite had slowed down considerably but we managed to run out of bait. (girls will keep throwing live shrimp at a bite until they catch it, libby caught to gafftops that weren't 4" long)
so we run back to Badabings and get more shrimp and back to the "corona" islands. The girls named it that because there were two crescent shaped islands that were about as big as your front yard and they were about 200 yards apart. they said that they were just waiting to see the beer commercial or the cialias two tub commercial break out at any minute.
We were supposed to go in early to go to a festival on Grand Isle. The girls said the heck with going listen to bands, we want to fish. so fishing it was.
They started biting pretty good. A redfish had his way with Libby.
We fished until dark and ran by moonlight home.![]()
