Sad news as of late; the passing of Dave Milewski,Sr aka BigWaveDave......an avid fisherman from the Boston area who was in the process of making the Straits/Harkers Island NC area his new home. Dave's regular reports and info from his small boat, "Coyote", combined with his infectous good natured character will be missed by all. Although his passing was, at first considered "suspicious"......it has been determined that his death was from "natural causes". We'll certainly miss him.
Shots below are from late November last season, after Dave and I took advantage of a rare sojourn to the East Side of the shoals in "Coyote" in search of late albies........after hours of no busts and no birds all the way to Drum Inlet and five miles offshore........Dave kept saying, "Jim, we're gonna find'em". That we did......acres of them all to ourselves. A great day with a new friend, a fine fisherman and special "character" who befriended all who met him. See ya out there, Dave.
