    Are you using the VMG hooks to replace? I have found they are super sharp and don't rust.

    Capt Rich, when my hooks get rusty or well used, they get replaced...I hate to try and sharpen trebles...

    A lot of what you saw are VMG hooks. I replace with VMG's as well as Mustad hooks. The VMG's are sharp, but they will rust...

    After reading one of your other posts, I dropped the required $100 on these hunks of plastic (because obviously all the colors I owned were wrong ), and now I know what to do when they rust!
