Wink Particularly interested in Red Drum fishing. Help?

Hey guys, I have decided for my next fishing trip that Im going to be aiming to catch Red Drum and Spanish Mackerel, (Particularly Red Drum first) and I was wondering if any of you could give me some suggestions or tips on types of bait and casting distance into the surf. I am also going to try the pier, but my order in demand is Jetties-Surf-Pier. Also, if you have any tips or anything else, please feel free to include them . Thanks.

    Red Drum Suggestions

I'm not sure how it is where you are but on the east coast of Florida the Bull reds hang out in the deeper water past the sandbar. Depending on whether you could reach it. Best bet is around high tide before and after but not during slack tide.

If you can find a rip fish that for good results. They hang on the outside of the rip when the tide is going out waiting for bait to flush through.
