I can see it's dangerous for you, but if the government trusts me, maybe you could.
My first instinct would be that #1 is correct...the up/down motion of the retrieve should put some action in the tail, althought, hook placement in #2 looks more natural???

If Ignorance is bliss, Why aren't more people happy?
I rigged them like #1 - but you raise a very interesting point with #2
Sounds like a great science project to figure out which get hit more... Or you can go with the curly tail ones

No trick Nick. I was rigging them wrong for years from looking at Manns grubs picture. Thought this may make a good thread when I ran across some of them the other day, so I put it up. keep the thoughts coming and tomorrow I will give you the answer...

Sit down Shut up And fish
#2 bait fish have vertical tails, only thing that swims like #1 are mermaids and dolphins,

I'd say #2 is "correct", although the looks of that bait in general don't do a whole lot for me.

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
I would think number two because like memo said the baitfish have vertical tails. Looks like a good.bait for spooky fish. However I do love the thumpers. tourney day in destin that's all they would bite.

I am a tackle Ho
#2 will be the only way it will paddle, but I would not take that to the bank. Just A wild guess.
