Not Fit For Man Nor Beast In Cape May

Last night at midnight I went down to check on the boat. My van was rocking and rolling in the parking lot like a couple of people were trying to turn it over. I put on full foul weather gear plus my sospenders inflatable vest in case I ended up in the water. It was all I could do to just walk down the dock with out getting blown off. As some of the strong gusts came I had to kneel down on the with the rain and the dock slippery. It was even tougher trying to get on the boat without going into the water.

Took the seat covers off and wrapped a few ropes around the
    console cover.

Checked mine and few friends boats today and all was well, but a lot of boats look like they had canvas damage. It is going to be a tough high tide this afternoon as on low tide not much water was able to leave the harbor.

I think I made the right move canceling my fly charter for today.

With the tides predicted tomorrow AM early, I may grab my coffee, stand on my front steps and make a few casts. No way I will use the fly rod, figure I'll have better luck with spinning. 30-40kts G50 from the North predicted should pile the water at the bottom of the bay!
