    New Fly Fishing Ride

Left early Sunday for South Carolina. Road construction, had to fix a taillight on the van that quit while I was driving down, a bridge opening on 95 outside Washington for a sailing ship that took close to an hour and two accidents that backed up traffic.

Got down to Georgetown S.C. around 6:30 p.m. Got room and dinner and a good nights sleep. Went to the boat dealer at 8:00 p.m. and found the boat that I had looked at on the inter net to be all that I expected.

Left for home by 11:30 and got in at 12:30 a.m. with the New Tide Runner. A 22 LTS Triton bay boat.

Now it is just getting it registered, bottom painted, the name on and waxed up and I will be ready to roll. Can't wait to get it in service. It will do all that my old boat will do just more storage and a little higher sides all the way around.

Thanks, It is just perfect for the type of fishing that I do. Just can't wait to get it on the water. I have charters this week so there is no time for waxing or doing much work on it etc. Want to get it all done before I put it in, cause once in I would rather be fishing.

Talked to Hinches Marina, here in Cape May and they are going to do the primer and bottom painting for me which will be great. Good people to deal with and they were very accomodating. Once painted, Just the name on and waxed and I will be ready.

It is going to be even more fun the rest of the year.

Gottafly, It was a mad dash down and back. Broker was a guide at Tailwalker Marine and invited me down for redfishing if I get down that way. Sure looks like fun. It was a struggle to reschedule charter just to get away and have been doing 2 a day this whole week. Getting a little worn down with the early mornings and evening trips. First morning off and I am trying to catch up on all the lose ends and work on the new boat. One of these days.

Should have the name on her this week. Then just some wax on the sides and she will be ready for the water. Decided to sell the other boat. keeping one for travel probably not the best idea, but I hate to part with my old one. Will probably put it up for sale this week.
