Lee these are some beautiful pics. congrats on a great day. And you and josh are great. A friend of mine once said wouldn't i rather catch a blue marlin. I said yep. I caught it 38 times. Thats how many pics I got on that one fish.![]()
Again guys, thanks for all the kind words. It is great when we get to do something we love and for me this is one of them.
CM, glad you liked them, that was the first time I have shot one, most of them came out good much to my surprise. I shot many in sequence that came out better than I thought and it was tough to pick out some to post.
Bill, I'm with you on the shooting thing. Getting a bill up to eat ang hooking it is one thing, capturing the fight is the tough part I think. That is what I like about shooting birds, which is the toughest thing I shoot now. I spend hours trying to get it right and only a small % of the time, does it work, I think fishing is easier for me right now...
Now it is strange that all this has come up now as this afternoon I called my camera shop here and told Frank to find me the Nikon 7000. I heated not having a camera when mine was in the shop and I want to take some things to the next level and I feel I can do that with the 7000 and take some of the load off of my D70. I have my eye on a couple of pieces of glass that I want but think I will rent them for a weekend to see which I like the best.
One more thing. Here is one I shot at the end of the air show. I was walking by a pond and saw this and had to capture it in time...

Lee,
Flat out great stuff! And that last picture of the flower? WOW! Thanks for posting these shots. It sure is more than just catching fish, isn't it? You surely prove that, my friend!
Lee,
Great pics as always but the first picture of the palm tree in the water looks very much like the fake one I see off to the left when I cross the bridge to wrightsville
