    montauk report!!!!

just got back from montauk ,new york , after 4 days of fishing. we had incredible weather . days were very calm and our party guest showed up every day. we went for albies ,blues and hopefully stripers.we got albies on the fly and spinning gear. most of them were under 10 lbs but if you have them on light tackle they are incredible fighters. we got blues up to 10 lbs on the fly. they were hitting anything from poppers to bunker patterns to heavy metal on spinning. we bailed blues our first night about 2 miles from the inlet. the parker was a blood bath . we had albies that were on micro bait , little anchovies that were less than an inch. the highlight of the trip for me was that i took several albies on a silver zara spook. will have pics to post soon..

Sounds great. Seems everyone that goes up there has some great action with decent size fish this time of year.

I seen a bunch of guys bailing them outside the CT river a few weeks ago, it looks like so much fun!

I have a trip like that coming up in the future and I can't wait.

The blue are hungry this time of year here. On the local news they had footage of a feeding frenzy in the New Haven harbor. People were throwing plugs or whatever at them and having a blast. Personally I don't think they taste so good, but they can be fun to catch.

lucky lady , does contender have you traveling a lot ?? their were a bunch of contenders up in montauk. you need to schedule a trip up there for a "sales meeting' or something. you have to test your product on the water.
