    mirrolure modification video

Hope you don't mind Capt. Lee.

Here are some tricks I use to put more fish in the boat. Hope this helps some of ya'll out.

Well Dang! I have to use the youtube link, when I tried to upload to SFC.com like I've done several times in the past it said I didn't have permission to access the page. Not sure why I don't have permission anymore, hope I didn't make anyone mad.

Don't mind a bit, glad to see you posting again...

Great tip here Bird especially about the sent on the feathers. Think that I will try this on a TTM52 and see how that works. I have talked to many people that do this a lot but for me I have never been able to get a Trout with one, but as I said, that is just me, I still will try...

Thanks for taking the time to make this for us Bird, great tip!!!

    Thanks Netman!

Capt. Lee, I use to not like the feathers either, then I got my butt handed to me by a fella that shouldn't have been able to catch a fish in a barrel. I reluctantly put a white feather on a 808 and it out caught 4 to 1 vs a regular 808. Give it a try, particularly in the colder months.

Thanks for the link Byrd. Some good guides use a feather or bucktail hair on thier Mirrolures in the ER.

Good video. Anybody use the Catch 5 or 2000. Seems I catch larger fish in the gulf with the catch 5.Plus I can chunk it a long ways out there. I replace the front treble with an extra split ring. Tip picked up watching Sebille (sp) on Florida sportsman TV.

Seachaser, I use the catch 2000 and the catch 2000Jr all the time here, and the Catch 5 a little, for me the Catch 5 is more for ocean use. The 2000 is one of the most misunderstood and least used MirrOlures there is beside the L29 which I love.

Good stuff BYRD! A little spray bottle filled with menhaden oil works too.. and is a LOT cheaper.

    Water temps?

    Hey Byrd,
I know it gets cold up your way. What is the minimum water temp that you will still fish for trout?
    Thanks

Me and the Byrd man fish the same areas, caught em as low as 38 degree water, I've seen my favorite area covered with a layer of ice, let it melt and come back the same afternoon and wacked em. Hope this helps.
