capt. Lee what do u recommend for behind masonboro once the water gets cold and very clear but the current is rippin
Great reading on the mirro lures. I can't tell you how many thousands of bass I caught in the local surrounding rivers on the dark green, gold sided 52m over the years.

BUMP. Please finish answering the questions on this thread. Excellent but unfinished. thanks!
Pleaase answer Honey Hole's question "if you had to pick 10 to fish with?"
thanks
I bet the "Carolina Beach Special" makes the list.

Yeah that 808 color is good. Wish I could get the 65M in that color but you cant.. Some of these new Mirrodean suspending twitch baits look good. I bought one of them the other day in color 808. Has a nice look to it.
A friend of mine who goes to estate sales and auctions allot called me the other day while he was at an estate sale and asked me if I wanted him to bid on a box of lures that was there. He said they were all Mirrolures. I told him hell yeah! And got a box full for 15 bucks. Some I have never seen and all in decent or unused shape. He said he was the only person who bid on them..![]()
First off let me say that for me to pick a top 10 is not fair...you can NEVER have enough MirrOlures...![]()

Seriously though, top 10 will and does change somewhat from area to area depending on water clarity and the day (sunny or overcast) but over all this is my top 11 pick...sorry as I said 10 is not enough...This pick is also for M52 MirrOlures only and does change for the "Catch 2000" series...Why, stay tuned for MirrOLure 202, hopefully I will finish it before the end of the month...

Ok class, in review...TT as pointed out stands for "Tiny Trout" but that is not all it denotes. If you look down on a "TT" MirrOlure and a standard 52M form the top, you will notice that the "TT" has a wider back than the standard 52M. The TT will sink at a slightly slower rate than a standard 52M...keep that in mind when you are buying your lure's and the ones you are getting bit on. In current this can make a huge difference!
From the top left side down...
TT R22............. Dark green back gold sides, white bottom..R= rattle
TTCF................Clear chartreuse
STTRGR...........Translucent red back with gold sides an bottom
52M805............Red head, white back and bottom with gold sides
TT750...............Black back chartreuse sides with orange bottom
From the top right down...
S52MR EC.....The electric chicken, Pink back, chartreuse bottom. silver sides
52MPF...........Translucence Florescent pink
S52MR26.......Red back,silver sides, white bottom
TTHP.............Hot pink back, silver sides, hot pink bottom
TT809............Black back, gold sides, hot pink bottom
Middle top down...
Same as 52MPF...........Translucence Florescent pink but I leave it in the sun to bleach out for a couple of months per side...
Standard 52M 808 or "Carolina beach special"
A couple of notes...
TT R22 goes every with me, great in stained or clear water...![]()
52M805 is a take off of the old 52M11, Red head, silver sides, white bottom with gold sides being the difference. As a rule of thumb, use the Red head on sunny days and I like the florescent Orange head on overcast, cloudy days. Also there is a pink head that I also like a lot...![]()
STTRGR is a great MirrOlure for clear stained water, I call it my Oriental color...
S25MR EC, the electric Chicken is another one that is a must have, Great in stained or clear river water and overcast or clear days...![]()
S52MR26 is one that I do well with in salt water when it is green stained water. Also seems to work better for my with current...
TTHP, if I could only have one MirrOlure to troll this would be it...a lot of big fish have come on this one by casting and trolling...![]()
The next 3 are ...well you got to have them.
TT750, GREAT cloudy day color...chartreuse sides...![]()
52M 808 one can not say enough goods things about this one. I would venture to say in our area that more Trout have come to this lure color than any other...
TT809...this is on that almost never comes off one of my 12 MirrOlure rods. Great day or night, but night is another thread...![]()
Whoo...now I'm tired...humm...night...full moon...humm I need to look that up...![]()

Shore power, Look for ones with gold eyes,
Treasure them, use them and kiss them every time you catch a fish on one, I have couple that only I get to use...

I would try the TTR22, if you can find it, 7M25 grey back white sides, gold eyes (this is an old color) With the current really ripping go to a 68M18. I asume that you are fishing this on clear days in water over 4'...![]()
The best advice I can give you in current is to let the current do the the work for you with a rod twich every now and then..."its not the meat, its the motion that makes your momma rock"...![]()
WOW!!! GREAT REPORT!!!!
