Absolutley incredible. Great tutorial. One of the best ever!! Wish I could give it 10 stars!!!!
Like Holwachagot said, flouro tied directly to the mirrolure then uni to uni to the braid. I like to use 12ft of 20lb floruo. I troll a lot of mirro lures where I fish and do very well with them. This thread just opened up whole new world for me.
Yep, the uni-uni with 15 floro for me too. I tie a loop knot most of the time... NEVER a snap swivel!
Capt. Lee - maybe you can answer this for me: How in the heck can a speck hit a mirro-lure and NOT get hooked??? Heck, I can barely tie one on without getting hooked!!!
sometimes i sit and think, and sometimes i just sit

Damn- look what I missed!!! great post GFL !!!! as far as the snap swivel goes, i used to and have always been defiantly "anti snap swivel"! however I no longer am totally- I have found and i now use a very small "snap" only (partly cause I have trouple remembering how to tie that damn loop knot). I used it today actually and caught fish with it. (not sure what size it is , another speck bud gave me a pack). It allows great action and still allows a quick change out. Great tutorial again Lee- thanx !

Thanks for all the kind comments and you guys chiming in. You guys have some great Questions here!
I have tomorrow off as of now. I will answer some of your questions with video as far as knots to braid and knots to MirrOlures.
Keep them comming...
Absolutely great post Lee. I also am curious what everyone uses for replacement hooks as I am always concerned about affecting the action negatively. I have recently switched my light gear over to the Daiwa Samurai braid and have been using the pink Yozuri Fluoro(couldn't find it saturday night after the tackle store closed and had to use some Yozuri hybrid for a tournament on Sunday!!!! )
JMS, I like the look of that loop and remember being shown something similar before by a MirrOlure master. I have been using the Slim Beauty with great success. Does not seem to affect my casting as it ends up with a very small knot. I usually tie my fluoro leader a little longer so I don't have to re-tie it as much during the day should it get damaged in battle!!!!
In honor of Lee's post check out this use of a MirrOlure !!!
