Yes they do work Billy, glad to see you got some, been a great week on MirrOlures for me.![]()
Would like to say I hope you all are working those Mirrolures and catching trout.
Am posting to tell what's been working for me lately down here in SC.
Catch 2000s are very good and fun to fish. Glow color, 808 and CFPR are effective in shallower water.
S52M, tt19 was great earlier in the year, taking fish on days when several other colors attracted no interest. Love the 808 and 750. A recent pleasant surprise is the series 3 CHBL, it is killing them on days when they don't hit the 750, 808 and other gold sided models. 90% of my fish during the last couple of trips have come on this in clear water, cloudy or sunny, early AM or high noon, doesn't seem to matter.
After years of owning a bunch of mirrolures(and forcing myself to really fish them recently) have finally had some success in the surf. Caught 7 spikes and lost some decent fish Tuesday night on the 808 and PD. Was strange fishing lures at night without being able to see my line but kind of cool when it all came together and some of the things I read on this thread definitely helped this happen.
GTlee, do you have any pull with L&S? I would love to see the 750 color in the 2000 and catch 5 series. It would be a hot seller in the gulf area.
Seachaser, sadly no pull with MirrOlure for that. Use to be that you could order custom but it took an order of 144 for them to make it, now the will make a custom color order for you with an order of 60. Now all you need is 5 friends to go in with you and each of you get 10 lures for about 75 bucks each, not a bad deal at all.![]()
Quick tip for a great thread. For those bombarded by choices: Go to your mom and pop bait and tackle store and ask which colors they are hitting. I guarantee you they will put you on the hot colors. We have one guy that even can tell you what to use by which boat landing you will be fishing from.
