May Fishing Reports From Cape May

May has been very windy but on the days that I have been able to get out there have been stripers to get. On one personal trip I had caught 12 in a 4 hour period along the beach front fishing in 4 feet of water right behind were the waves were breaking. Had two keepers out of the 12 with the smallest down to 11 inches. All were taking chartreuse/white clousers on sinking line.

Having to work for fish on a fly but catching fish on each trip. Just started getting some atlantic sea herring mixed in to add some more excitement on the fly. They fight and jump real good on light wt. rods.



Plus got this angler his first keeper striper on the fly.
