    Inshore Fun At MHC

Took the whole family this time for some inshore fishing. We had a blast fishing various marsh points. We caught flounder, lizardfish, and even a sea robin. Most of the fish were undersized, but we didn't care. We had a great time and released everything anyway.

We were using 3" Gulp (glow color) with 1/4 oz. white jigheads.

I am thinking about switching to 4" Gulp and see if we can pick up some bigger fish. However, I noticed with the 3" that the tail was bitten off a few times! LOL! I imagine we'll have several hits with no hookups with 4" Gulp.

Still can't connect with specks or drum - but we will keep trying. It seems like it was much easier fishing the creeks off the Pamlico for those species.

We called it a day around noon and went to CALO to do some snorkeling.
