Talking I Bass squid this seahorseing around...

Never know what I will be up to.

Monday I had to do a slide show to the Triangle Fly Fishers in Raleigh NC. a couple of my clients are members there and Malcolm ask me to come early and do some Bass fishing with his. I was slow at first, with us throwing spinner baits, worms, rattle traps, and lizards. BLUR root shrimp was what they wanted and that is what they got, with me drawing the first blood about 3:00 PM with about a pound and a half fish, but about 4 PM it was as good as it gets with all fish ranging from 4 & 1/2 to 6 pounds. It was nice to leave them biting....
Had a great time Malcolm, thanks for the invite. Looking forward to our next outing...

Nice to see the shrimp baits work on "all" fish.

Nothing wrong with spring Lunkers. The Largemouth Bass have been responsible for many fond memories.
    Thanks Lee.

Great report Lee. I caught some nice LMB last year in the spring. My buddy was throwing a Senko worm, wacky rigged, and wearing them out. He would pitch it close to the bank, let it sink, twitch, let it sink, twitch, etc. I was thinking that I had caught some nice speckled trout the same way back in Nov. aroung the Fort Macon jetty. So I tied on a Billy Bay Halo shrimp and pitched it to the bank. BAM! I bet I caught 15 or so that afternoon. I guess it was something they were not used to seeing because they tore it up, literaly, there wasn't much left of the bait by the end of the day. Thanks for the pictures.

Great Stuff Lee... Always amazed by your pictures. Next time you drive by the Triangle you'll need to come and try some Chatham Co. fresh water!
