Grouper fishing july 29th

The weather finally decided to lay down and offshore we went! :-) What do I as the gaff man do when theres 2 grouper on and a mahi on with others around at once? You have the fish throw him in the boat and run like he** to the next fish! :wink:

We finished the day with 12 grouper, 3 mahi, and easily 75 pounds of grunts/pinkies. Also had a huge Cuda that was released and lost some really nice fish at the same time. Passed a few baitballs on the way in that had to hold fish but the storm wouldnt let us findout so we left them for the next trip. LOL found out the junior angler record for a red grouper is 14 pounds, been wanting to replace that with one of my reds but dad says its too much work but I for sure beat it today :wink:. Its always fun having some good friendly competition with your buddys :wink: .
