    Fly tying Q & A

Ok SFC gang, here is how this thing needs to work. Please keep your questions short and to the point. Do not ask broad based questions like...can you teach me to fly fish of what kind of fish can you catch on a fly...my answer is yes but not here and all if them. Ah, now with that being answered...

Make your questions a one part question for a one part answer. The more complicated you question the harder it is for one of us to try and answer. As for those that are fielding questions please use the quote button so is it easer to see what questions have been answered and what your answer is to a question.

Questions, as always, the answers you get are not the only way to do things, just the way the person answering does it. Try to keep things simple...remember I can't type!

Dave said he would be a little late...has a dinner date with a good-looking, big...oops never mind

Wow thats goes way back. Around 1964. age 12, I was fishing for bluefish and had one take me to the end of the fly line ...next one was when I had backing for the first time and watched as the fly line left the reel and lost sight of it in the water...the relief when it was back on the reel...priceless.

Is it necessary to use a taper, or will a length of mono do for saltwater?
