    Fly Storage/ organization

I have an absolute mess around my tying table. The tying season is upon us and it's time to clean it up.

I have a number of flies just laying around that need a home.

What do you all use at home to store flies?

Last season was my second full season of using my own flies and I have been storing most of them in clear plano boxes. I've ended up with an unorganized mess, and messed up flies in some cases.

What are your favorite ways to store flies on the road/ in the boat?

I'm almost ready to make a set of drawers with compartments like you see at fly shops. One for home, one for the truck, and one for the boat.

    What say you?

    Yoooo...
I use the plastic sleeves. They help ALOT.. then just clear plano boxes.
I use those wallet things from WCO for the beach. Waterproof so my stuff doesn't rust.

I think your idea of building those drawers is a great idea!! I have had trouble with this issue as well and have had some ideas of my own but most of them have not worked very well. Right now I am storing them with an old tackle box but want something that isn't as messy. I could really use some suggestions I'm lost when it comes to organization

I use the fly wallets in the boat and when fishing from the beach. Plastic sleeves and clear plano boxes around the fly tying table. I find it hard to keep tying area neat. Tend to pull stuff out then pull more out and next time I look the whole table is a mess with stuff.
