June was a good month for catching stripers on the fly with good catches with some nice keeper size fish. As the water continues to warm up we are seeing mostly schoolie size stripers. Top striper flies along the Inlet rocks have been Chartreuse/white clousers and larger bucktail deciever patterns. For weakfish orange/yellow clousers and jiggies fished on intermediate and sinking lines are working the best.
In the back bay topwater steroid gurglers have been providing great surface action for stripers on the shallow flats.
With the unusal warm water we have had to work a bit harder to find the fish but there seems to be enough around to have fun.
Some pictures.
