Yeah it was loads of fun thanks for the flies onemorecast and for introducing us to some of the the people there.

How did you make the head on the rockfish flies you gave us??

Thanks again to Dave for finding us a ride there we really appreciate it.

I learned so much there and went home and tyed for a while. My casting is alot better now thanks to the lesson.

It was so much fun and I know I'll be back next year.

    What's up little man!!!

Yeah... I saw you two little knuckleheads from across the room. Walkin around all star struck... everyone you met was the real deal. Best of the best from our area..... I would have helped with a casting lesson but I didn't see ya headin out.
I wish I could have introduced you to more of the crew. I think you met Brian Horsley and Sarah Gardner... Steve Farrar too... the guy who gave you the fly was Jon Pund... very talented tier. I'm very glad you guys made it. I hope you had a good time. Put it on the calendar for next year.
Give your mom a big hug for taking you. It was very nice of her..
The event is all about teaching and learning the sport. I'm glad I had a chance to help you guys. Don't ever give up!!! We are all here to help.

    Well that made my day.

Glad to hear you all made it, no matter how you made it. To tell you the truth...OMC..Tony is the one who took care of the ride....but you're more than welcome. As Tony said before, call Walt and learn from him if you can.

I wish I could have made it. Tie Fest is one of my favorite events of the year. Vegas was fun, but still not better than the day you all had.

Definitely hug your mom and get ready for a great summer. With your new casting skill and some new flies to tie, the fish of OC are in trouble.

Who was teaching you guys casting? Big mustache? or gray hair and glasses?

    That fly is a siliclone.
The head is made with spun sheep fleece and two coats of ge II silicone.
