Here's a thread from the past.

I've had success with a chart/yellow clouser with lots of flash on top. Tied sparse w/ no tail.

Make sure you remind me next Saturday and I'll show you what I mean.

Dude... you so can't catch fluke on the fly...

    This is what they eat....

These are the flies I use in tandem...

This is the end to a good day... all over 22 inches..

This is what it looks like when they pull

Talk to me at tiefest.... Now I know what flies to give ya..

We'll teach you how to catch them Brad.

The trick is not to strip the fly in. In the ocean, you have a good current. Those calicos are free swimming crabs and the fluke focus on them... literally ignoring mullet, anchovy, and spearing..
Calicos swim in the water column along shorelines looking for dead things to feed on. Fluke lay on the bottom waiting for one to meander by. If you learn to drift the flies in the current, you will catch 10x the fluke that someone will catch stripping in. It takes patience and practice.. much like trout fishing in freshwater.. you want to create a natural drift. In doing this, it is very very important to always keep contact with the fly by mending your line. When the line stops.. a fluke has just tagged your fly. Sometimes the strike is thunderous.. other times the line just stops.. You always have to be ready...
It's great fun.. wading.. no boats.. the water is only 2 feet deep. Boats... even kayaks will scare them away.. Wading... christ.. I step on one every time I go.. they just aren't scared if you are in the water with them. Many times... you will see the fluke explode off the bottom to take the fly.

I have had good luck with clousers. Color has not mattered too much. Yellow/white and pink/white. With the pictures above and the kind of catches of nice size fish I would go with the ones shown and you can't lose.
