    fishing report, Wed. June 15

I promised myself that despite any other activities, this time I would find the time to write a fishing report. Yesterday I had the privilege of fishing a close friend! We had lots of fun together, and to me, this is what fishing is all about! Memories that will last a lifetime...

Decided to hit the deep ledges and started out not able to even find anything worth fishing on the bottom. Moved to some different ledges about 5 miles away and that’s when we started finding some fish…

    The seabass where BIG!

    Also found some STUD pinkys…

But the determination to find a grouper was there and the hunt continued as we marked fish but didn’t catch grouper. Had a few incidents of grouper occur including a bent 9 hook. (WOAH) broken 120 pound leader and a breakoff, but I put the team on my back with this boy on the light rod! 

After this the grouper mellowed alway but throughout the day we did find some mahi just chilling.  (9 in the box and 4 breakoffs actually)

It was a good day and after somewhere around 4 hours of cleaning fish at the table I think it’s safe to say we had around 300 pounds of fish. We ended the day with 1 stud grouper, grunts, BIG seabass and pinkys, triggerfish, and the LONG LOST B-Liners!!! 
