Because I was fishing with 2 very gifted Captains.

We had some laughs ( watching Capt. Phil almost do a face plant while staking out - was very funny ) ......
Heard some hilarious stories ( Youth is definitely wasted on the young, right Lee? ) ......
And there's always room for a few insults ( "No Phil, I'm not trying to lose that fish!" ) ......

When you get to fish with either of these 2 experienced Captains, it's more of a learning experience.
You learn more about yourself than you wanted to or ever needed to know.

Yesterday I got some relationship advice, on my marriage from two divorced guys.
Like I'm ever going to ask either of them to be a character witness.
Learned the proper way to make a peanut butter & potato chip sandwich, as if there's a wrong way.
Let me see; bread, peanut butter, chips, more bread - got it.

I did learn how to catch creek fish. Which I guess was the point of going, but it's really all about the other things you learn for me ......
Thanks, Capt Lee & Capt Phil for a great " learning " experience ......... ICM
But, Thats funny. Sounds like you had fun.

Gotta love some shallow water running, especially when it involves getting to and catching fish.

jaydubbs and I were running across a cloudy flat last year and thumping cow nose rays with the prop the whole way. A little later in the day the tide had dropped a little and the when running through a clear spot the only thing I could mutter was "Hooooollllly Shallow" as I gripped the wheel and pushed the throttle that extra little bit.

IMO, a skeg with no paint is the mark of a man that has no idea what he's doing running a boat, or a man that has too many ideas when running a boat.

Glad to see you get to play with your pets in these cold times Lee. It was almost warm enough to go try for some perch and crappie last week, but more snow came and we're back to February as normal.

Keep the pics coming...summer will be here soon.

That was awesome... The funniest part was when you first hit the rays i was like: DAVE!!!! We're running in sand! You looked back and said: nah, just some rays....
The next time we ran into something i was like: farkin RAYS!!!! Then we proceeded to run thru a 100 yard mud flat, skeg and all a good 5" in the mud.... With a 6'5" "capt" screamin: Hoooooooooooolllly shallow!
    Ha ha

    When we going back
