First solo pup for the FUTURE
Folks as some of you know my littlest daughter was nicknamed the Future. She caught her first pup today by herself. We had a small window between storms and took advantage. Second cast and she hooked up. After a nice fight the fish was lifted in the boat. She was very happy. I don't know who was prouder, me or her. Here are some pics. It was a shame that the storms chased us off cause they were snapping.
Fighting the fish. Her grandad in the background
Lifting it in the boat. Yes that's a gold spoon. That's me holding the line.
And the star of the day holding her catch.
The fish was 18.5 inches. She wanted to stay but the rumbling thunder just wouldn't quit. Took the safe route and came back home.
What a fantastic picture that 3rd one is! Congratulations to Future on her super catch and thanks dad and grandpa for taking Future fishing!

Thanks for all the nice replies. She got the name Future because when she was two she could name almost all the fish hanging from the ceiling at the BPS in hampton. (Heck most of the people working in the fishing department at the time couldn't do that.) There was an older gentlemen standing watching as I would point and she would name. He looked at me and said "I guess she's the Future of the sport." And the name stuck.
