first sailfish on the fly!

we went fishing out of quepos, costa rica on january 29, 2007. on the first day i wanted to fly fish so we put out the teasers. we raised one in less that 20 mins. i made a cast and hooked it. i brought the fish to the put in less than 10 mins. we took a picture and released it. we also released 4 other sailfish on conventinal that day.

The next to days we went bottom fishing. every time we dropped a live bonita to the bottom it got bit. we finished the trip with 1 sailfish on the fly, 4 sails on conventinal, 10 amberjacks, 5 cubera snapper, and one mullet snapper..

I have caught 4 on the fly and my wife has caught one (that adorns the living room)
