Ok guys, i have started buying some flies in hopes of getting ready for summer fishing. Im fishing in the back waters of NC....what do you think of my purchases so far? Am i headed in the right direction?
cape, lookin good so far. clousers varying in weight are great . get a few different flies and and colors. lee , this is your playground ,what are you using .??? i think something that sinks, something that suspend, something that pops and finally soemthing that slides. with flies of those descriptions you should be good.
Looks like a great start. Your 4 flies with the lead eys will ride with the hook up when you cast them and the others should ride hook down. They all look like they will catch for you. I know they would work up here in New Jersey. Best information will be from the guys that fish down there.
Once you get a few fish under your belt you will know what flies catch and what colors work best. Then you can go heavier to those colors and styles.
