    CUSTOM COLOR TOOLS the 17mr

    Well at least to me...

It always great to offer something new to a fish, something new that it may not have ever seen that may trigger a strike after they have seen it all.
My friend Capt_John shot me a PM and told me to come by Eastern Outfitters where he is working, he had something for me. We met at the door and walked to the MirrOlure rack and there sat 6 custom colors in the series III or broken glass as it has become to be called, 2 that I knew were going to work well for me. Give him a call and he will be glad to ship you some if you see any that you would like. Tried to fish them this morning but the braid kept freezing on the reels...

    The line up

The one that caught my eye that I hoping MirrOlure would produce is pink, this one is Hot Pink over Hot Pink...

The other that I knew would do it for me is the Black Back and pink (or as I call it, cranapple) belly...

At home (Wrightsville Beach) on the falling tided in the green stain water, the Red back with Chartreuse belly will be the heat...

The Orange back Gold sides and White belly will be great on clear to light stained tannic water on a sunny day...

I'm not sure what it is about blue in tannic colored water but this Blue back with the Orange belly should kick a$$ and take names...

The Blue back with Chartreuse belly in clear water will be another killer color at home, I can think of at least 6 different banks that this will get chewed on...

Hope this will help you out with a little more understanding of the use of color.
John, looking forward to seeing the next batch of new colors...

Thanks alot Lee. Now something else to spend money on. I thought the 1 or 2 mirrolures then 15 mirrolures would be enough and now you go and show me something else. Do you have any tacklebox recommendations for these things.

Lee the HP has been very good the last 2 weeks since the deep freeze, I just can't seem to get more than 1 trip outta one either broke off or snagged on something!

Got one trip outta the black/cranapple before it got snatched off, we think by a nice striper as we caught several nice ones in the same location.

I saw the red/chart. today, I almost picked one up to try, maybe next time.

New color to me is the Bone/ orange belly, worked very well in the dark bottom creek we fished the other day.

Damn Lee.....I knew they were good color combos, but those pics make them look so much better. The HP has been the one with the most feedback coming to me. But the cranapple is a close second which it actually ties with the "creamsicle".

Just ordered two of each over the phone!! (Well I didn't get the creamsicle) Capt. John was great to talk to and work with. He mentioned something about more colors coming soon. Can't wait to see what else they comes up with!!!

Thanks Lee for posting the pics and thanks Capt. John for allowing me to order over the phone.

Rob, sorry to get back to you so late, it is a working out of town thing...

I use Plano or Flambeau boxes. Both have advantages and disadvantages...

What I like the best about the Plano boxes are the closing latches. Some models come with color coded latches so at a glance you know what you keep in then, great when stacks on top of each other, they are interchangeable...

The Flambeau boxes have what they call "Zerust" dividers that emit a "harmless vapor that forms a protective layer around metal"
Does it work? All I know is the it does not hurt... The cool thing is that the Flambeau boxes comes with a bunch of dividers that just happen to fit the Plano boxes...shhhh don't tell everyone...
