After 22+ inches of rain, I have been working on the roof and needed a break. It would be welcome before I had to get back up there this afternoon. Being that my charter had canceled today do to the weather we had this week, I called Mike and we were set to go. Air temperature had fallen into the 50 and when I dropped the boat in the water, it said 63 degrees.
When we started out and I saw the sunrise, I knew that we would find some fish, even though it would be a tough bite. Gotta love it when your day starts off looking like this...
Mike started with a topwater and before I could get a spoon tied on, he scored with a great copper colored fish. I grab the net and soon, he comes in for a photo opt and we sent him off to be caught another day...
I love getting to shoot in that low sun angle, it sometimes makes colors pop out...
After sending this one back home, we moved down the flat and soon, "Goldie Locks" scores for me and I had a nice one on...
He was a feisty guy and fought from the strike to the boat...
His tail was neon blue from the fight...
After this, we saw some fish and lost some fish and had a few on lookers as we fished on...
All in all, it was a great day on the water after 22+ incher of rain and 50 degree night, enjoyed the morning Mike and another fine day with ya...
