Hello,I live near Pittsburgh,Pa.what to know what is the closest pier that I could try out a new jig?----------thanks-------pub-------

try point lookout on the chesapeake bay. that is the closet pier to pittsburgh. also look at pierandsurf.com they may have a little more info on where to go

please bear with me on this i'm new at forums. i also live near Pittsburg(grafton westvirginia a have an interest in to close piers). i want to travel to travel anapolis,MD. AND TRY THE PIERS THERE i don't kow much about the area but it's the closest fo us. if you have tried any in that area fill me in about them. I hope to go over this spring and try around ocean city. hope this gets out so i can learn to talk to others about surf fishing. good luck

Dont waste your time in Annapolis (Only dirty harbor water). I live on Md. Eastern shore, just keep on rt. 50 about 10 min. past there over the Chesapeake Bay bridge, first exit turn right and 2 miles too Matapeake state park. Small parking fee but pretty roomy concrete pier out to bay. You can also stay on 50 to Kent Narrows about (4 miles) short but tall bridge. Public docks under bridge on both sides. Plenty of summer/fall stripers and blues under the lights! good luck. message me for details if needed
