Chum Flies.......discuss
While it's not a perfectly placed Elk Hair Caddis on a stream in the Galatin Range, and sure isn't a merkin plunked a few feet in front of a permit tailing on a flat in the Marquesas.
Chumming flat out works.
Just heard the story of this pig on a 9 wt.

44 lbs of BFT.
On a White Deciever.
I've caught Rock and blues in a chum slick on the same thing.
What has worked for you?

Not quite the same but we chum up Groupers and AJs. Do better with the AJs with poppers and the groupers on sinking lines and 6 to10" 1/2 & 1/2s.

Heck...not looking for the same, just what has worked for you with different species.
An AJ has gotta be a blast on any weight rod.
How about that spade fish you posted a picture of a little while back??
Let's see some pics of the flies.
