    captains license

    Well I passed my tests today and received my captains license. That was a pretty tough ten days, glad its over. Do you have to re test everytime you renew.

    Congrats on passing you test and you right, tough 10 days. I'm in the process of renewing mine again and each time it gets a little tougher to renew it...

    I think it took about a month till I got my license after I took the test the first time.

    Yea lee it was definatly hard, a lot of Info to take in , and that rules of the road was the worst. I just sent in my physical , drug.screen, and twic card so I should have it in 2-3 weeks .

    Answer is no you don't have to retest as long as you renew with in the 5 year validity period. You have to show recency, I believe 90 documented days every 5 years, but I could be wrong on that.

    If you let it expire past the grace period, you have to retest.
