Caicos Islands Surfishing

Has anyone fished the Caicos Islands from shore or otherwise and wish give some advise. I will be on Middle Caicos for a month in January. If no has been there, will I post whatever I learn when I return. Any general clues on baitcasting off Caribbean Islands would help.

The only fishing from land that I've seen is bonefishing (which is supposed to be awesome) and hand lines off the docks.

Just spent the day on Middle yesterday - gorgeous island and one of my favs. A month there ought to be really nice.

Get yourself a bunch of these glass minnow jigs in 1/4 oz. in green and white w/ glitter tail and you're in for a blast. Everything eats them from jacks and snappers to barracudas.

Welcome aboard oceanpath. Where do you fish out of?

I live in Wisconsin, but I really like the ocean fishing, especially casting off shore. But I am a rookie with a lot to learn. But flyfishing trout streams in the UP is special.

I'm not an expert on this but I think you use a fly rod and can use flies. I'm sure there is also some kind of bait that can be used. I would guess there are some bonefishing threads on this forum somewhere!!

A bunch of people throw Phillips wiggle jigs tipped with dhrimp for bones from the bank on light spinning tackle.
