We tried trolling today & only caught Blues. Most all of our fish fell to the might jig .........
5 Fat Albie's ( released ).
5 Bonitos ( kept 4 lost 1 at the boat from a cheap Maria jig hook - great lure with a very cheap hook ).
Maybe 100 plus Blues ( 2 & 3 pounds ) kept 5.
2 legal size Gag Groupers ( released ).
Several big BSB ( released ).

I imagine it's a bit of a surprise when a keeper gag decides to hit a little ole jig on a plugging rod, huh?

Nick...... both Gags were caught by my buddy Capt. Joey Pal. He's a graduate of Rough & Ready Piscator College so he knew what he had & was fishing 15 # braid, while I thought it was a Shark........ ICM

Today Danny & I trolled for the first 5 Bonitos, then when to the mighty jig for the last 4.


Total today 8 Bonitos, with 1 Tautog & way to many Blues.
We had them busting all around the boat for very short periods & most of our cast were 10 yards short .........
