baass fishing?

i am heading to venice, florida for spring break. I now the ponds are loaded with bass. Any suggetions on flys and leaders?

I wish I could be more help, but we always used some kind of little popper with rubberbands on it

Sneaky Petes.....that's the popper with the rubber bands on them.

Clousers/decievers/bendbacks that mimic shiners and such should be good.

Gurglers

Wooly buggers are good.

Gonzo's should work well too, they're a clouser tied on a 60 degree jig hook with a rattle tied under the hook. You'll be getting a variation of one in the fly swap.

12lb tapered leaders will be good. Bass aren't really leader shy, and 12lb. will allow you to get the fly through any vegetation you might encounter.
