Harbor Tackle Fishing Report April 2, 2009

Heard some stories that the gannets have been working the beaches; however, the only fish caught have been some doggies and skates. A few legal stripers have been taken in the back bay below the Assateague Bridge. Some shorties have been hooked from the Rt. 50 Bridge. The tog are starting to show at 2nd & 4th Streets and at the end of 6th Street. Shad are in the Inlet and at the Rt. 50 Bridge.

Harbor Tackle has fresh ocean bunker, live minnows, live chowder clams, live black saltys, and expecting live green crabs for next weekend.

Harbor Tackle Fishing Report April 8, 2009

Heard some stories that the gannets have been working the beaches; however, the only fish caught have been some doggies and skates. A few legal stripers have been taken in the back bay below the Assateague Bridge. Some shorties have been hooked from the Rt. 50 Bridge. The tog are starting to show at 2nd & 4th Streets and at the end of 6th Street. Shad are in the Inlet and at the Rt. 50 Bridge. The last two years the big blues hit the beach Easter weekend. Maybe with hope and a prayer there will be fish other than dogfish and skates real soon.
