The morning started off bright and early meeting Captin. Lee to go cover new ground on the flats. Leaving the boat ramp around 7:15 we started wondering down the ICW when the Capt. slows the throttles down and climbs on his pearch. We began to see good signs of flounder and rays and a few wakes but no drum. A little futher down we pulled up to a flat that looked fishy. As we poked through the skinny intrance we already were seeing signs of bait fish popping and "drum mud". As we made our way across the flat we had a few blow ups on top water but no cigar. Not long after missing a few strikes i was hooked up with a nice slot fish.
The wind started kicking up a notch as we made our way off the first flat of the morning. New ground, new fish, we were happy. Only 9:00 and we were ready to find some more fish and that we did. Got on a very skinny protected flat with very good visibility and started chunking and winding covering as much water as we could. Soon enough Lee calls out there they are and cody chuncks the top dog in their face. Fish blows up on it at least a 30+ fish but didnt take it. A little futher down we were very satisfied at what we found. One big flat we had already seen two seperate schools of fish. Lee kept us on them and we all had a little fun. Incredible top water blow ups to say the least.
Pictures dont do the justice to what we experienced this morning. Awesome sight fishing and learning little things that make a world of difference flats fishing. Had a great time dude!
Nice report Brandon. Glad you got a chance to go. Better yet you went with Lee and found new fish in clear water. That is hard to beat!

Pictures do not do justice is for sure. Topwater redfish bites are just about as good as it gets. Nice report and pics.

It was all my pleasure haveing you both on the boat. Seeing all those fish sure does boil the blood, casting to them and watching them eat...pricless. As I said...top water is nerves of steel fishing...
