AUCTION:Sika Deer Archery Hunt..Dorchester County MD

We're proud to offer this FANTASTIC hunt for the second year in a row. After the success of last years hunt, I'm looking forward to being part of this years too.

Auctioned Sika Hunt Success

The sika(See-kuh) deer isn't a deer at all. The smallest elk in the world was introduced to Maryland as an escapee from a private island in the early 1900's.

This trip offers 2 archers a 2 day/2 night hunt on nearly 1100 acres of private land joined on two sides by Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge. The hunt will take place from treestands which are strategically placed around the property to maximize your chances to score a kill. The property does have active feeders to supplement the animals diet, and they may be hunted if requested.

Lodging and meals will be provided on site in a well appointed bunk house.

The dates of the hunt are bound by the MD archery season and the schedule of the Donor of the hunt. Dorchester County does offer Sunday hunting

When bidding, please note the number of hunters and the price of the bid PER EACH

License fees are not included.

This auction will close on June 15, 2009 @ 10pm EST and does have a reserve.

Now get bidding!

-D

I can't believe there are no bids for this yet.

Apparently, not many people know what Sika tastes like.

Damn if that aint the pot calling the kettle black....Where's your bid?

I can guarantee this one is one heck of a hunt on a property just crawling with sikas.

You'll be fed like a king too.

This trip is worth more than I can afford, I gots mouths to feed, and my baby doesn't have teeth so she can't eat steak yet.

Sika deer are amazing animals, who ever wins this auction is going to have a blast.

Hey all, terrible news about Tred Barta. I'm sure a successful fundraiser for the B/G Club will help lift his spirits!

I know times are a little tight- so to broaden the audience a little, I will provide the following option:

I highly recommend the two day/two man bowhunt, especially with the Sunday hunts available during the sika rut in October. But I'll give the winner the option instead to choose a one day/two man firearm hunt, either during rifle season or late muzzleloader. Most likely it will not be during the Maryland Early muzzleloader, as I already have obligations. This option would still include meals and one night's stay.

Good luck bidding!
