Gifts in Support of Tred

Dave,

In light of what has happened to Tred I was wondering if there were a way to send you monetary gifts in Tred's honor. If every member would send you a minimum donation of $5, then we could raise a lot of money for the kids. It would be a great way for the sportfishing community to show support for what he has accomplished with the Boys and Girls Club. I know that not everyone agrees with Tred, but everyone can agree that the Boys and Girls Club is a wonderful organization. I don't have a paypal account, but I would be more than happy to mail the first donation of $5 to you.

What a great way to show Tred that we care about him. He has done so much for those kids and to have him honored through donations will suely make an statement to Tred and the kids definately need the support. They are currently in the process of making Tred a huge Get Well Card.

If 96 people gave $5 we could send a club member to summer camp for 11 weeks ($480 Total) in Tred's honor. What a great get well honor for him.

Let's send a kid to camp in Tred's Honor.

Please help make a difference:

There is a young lady, 15 years old at the Morehead City Boys & Girls Club that was recently molested by a neighbor. Due to the traumatic events she has been hospitalized for psychological help. She is the oldest of 5 children (there is a set of twins in the family). There is no father in the picture and the Mother works 50 hours a week at a convenience store. Summer Camp is coming and the mother is not able to pay for all five children. This young lady will end up “babysitting” the other four kids unless we can get them scholarship into the club. Today 4 anonymous donor’s stepped up to scholarship her brothers and sisters for summer camp and between the few people who have read this post we have raised $75 towards another scholarship that NEEDS to be given to this young lady. She has a ton of potential and does not need to be home alone this summer. Please help us give her a positive and SAFE place to spend her summer. Any amount makes a difference even a dollar. We need $375 and it will all be in honor of Capt. Tred Barta who has given so much to these kids.
