Z-Man To The Rescue Once Again!!!!

Went out to Ladrones and Montuosa Islands yesterday with Nick and his family for their last full day with us down here on the mother-ship. Another fantastic day, no question about that.

Scored Nick's first black marlin after it piled on our Z-Man "Flyerz" daisy chain teaser and then ate a pitched skippie in a savage detonation. We've raised more fish in the last week of fishing on this daisy chain of flyers than you can count! Check em out here:

Marlin, pargo, tunas, roosterfish, bluefin trevally, snorkeling, kayaking, swimming with the dolphins & jelly fish (whoops!) and beachcombing - a family vacation that this crew will likely never forget!

Getting set for our next group coming in on wednesday...stand by!!!

Josh..you should try one of our little Pacific Machine Bars..either Flyers or Sila Flash small bullets either glow or chrome..(Z-Man)..they work great for smaller teasers or hook baits..18" or 24" bars..stainless steel spring wire down to .0781 or .0938 for nice flex..good results in the Pacific..

the flyers come in two sizes 6" or 4"..black/silver fleck or bright blue/silver.

Ok so i mentioned to the kids on the first day that they should try snorkeling with the dolphins before they go. Of course they jumped all over that idea, making me PROMISE to make it happen before they left. We'd just finished lunch on their second day, and were on our way back out to Ladornes to fish marlin when i spot the porps near the bank.

Earlier that day we're swimming around the island near the reefs and one of the kids goes "Holy crap there's jellyfish EVERYWHERE!" I immediately check it out, discovering that they're only the harmless little clear ones, and let them know the coast is clear, they're not the stinging type - carry on with the swimming.

So later that afternoon i spot the porps and i start yelling for them to get their snorkeling gear on - "HURRY UP HERE THEY COME!!! GO! GO! GOGOGOGO!!!!"

Well Mom, Dad, and the two little ones jump in the water like Navy seals and one of the kids starts screaming bloody murder right away - "AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! Jellyfish!!! ARRRRRGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!"

I yell down, "Hey - i told you! THEY DON'T STING!!!"

Then all of a sudden the other one starts yelling - "AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!" and then mom and dad - "AAARRRRGGGGH!!!!" and "AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!"

I spin the boat around to investigare and when i start going down sea and away from the sun i see them - millions of tiny pink jellyfish that certainly do sting. SONOFA -

"Get in the boat NOW!!! NOWNOWNOWNOWNOWNOW!!!!"

Dear baby jesus it was a mess. The kids were crying, the porpoise were panicking, i felt like a total jackass. The kids call me "Uncle JT" and believe you me it doesn't feel so good to throw your little niece and nephew, so to speak, into a cauldron of blood-drawing, stinging jelly bastards. Thankfully, there were OK after a good cry and some hugs and kisses from Mom.

I apologized about a million times to them, but they told me to forget about it. "We did get to swim with the dolphins!" they said. Tough little buggers that they are.

Watch out for the swimming snakes and the jellyfish that look like a corkscrew. When I was down there they said the snakes would kill you and those jelly fish would make you wish you were dead!

I was down there 5 years ago and think of it every day! Coiba, Montossa, Hannibal, Los Drones................ Thanks for keeping the memories alive!

They skitter and jump all over the place. Depends on how you rig them. We have 6 in a daisy chain and the first few tend to skip and then the last ones do the jumping.

Main thing is they raise fish like a mofo!
