    Any updates from Relentless?
Been a couple months, I cant imagine the economic nightmare this has created.
Just got the word that the catch and release fishery is now open... are any tunas in sight?

I feel for you guys. I would love to see this first hand, to grasp the truth.

Whats the scoop now that its july?

Curious as to where you read about a catch-n-release fishery? Regardless, just about everyone in that area is doing VOO-type work and will be for awhile. The few trips we have made in the last few weeks though have been nothing short of awesome. Dolphin, wahoo, blues, open water schools of big (120-140+) yellerfins, etc. These fish are much smarter than a lot people are giving them credit for. Several of the big floating oil mats we have come across are holding dolphin, bonitas, and baitfish as if they were weedlines! So long as it's some sort of cover they can relate to, I guess. I am shooting for an October opening up fisheries in that area, right in time for the big tunas following the shrimp boats. Fingers crossed...

    the sad part.

I have contacted everyone I can think of from the whitehouse on down.. having been a mechanical contractor for brown and root and being a life long do-it-yourselfer I KNOW this gusher can be totally stopped. I even offered to demonstrate how to do it.. well as you can expect all I get back is form letters thanking me for contacting them.

my guess ... it is all political.. we have a president who wants to pass cap and trade to move his marxist agenda forward.. he is in league with BP and the whole thing smells...........fishy.....

I am pissed.. I was looking forward to a grand isle trip with my wife and child, but when I called down there they said the beach was closed.. I love surf fishing.

do not let the sob politicians get their way.. they seem to have forgotten we are a nation with a government BY THE PEOPLE and for the people.

i thought i read it on the LA game and fisheries site.

I agree on the fish being smarter than people give them credit, along with birds and such. I watched a video on youtube, and the guy was saying shit like "why has man done this to me" speaking in the context of a dolphin...

Good luck guys, I want to go down there so bad. you have an amazing fishery I fish for the the little pups in n carolina and would love to witness what you have. I hope the best for all you watermen.

I will book a charter in in the gulf in the near Future. I feel obligated as a sportsman and heck, why not anyways?
