Three life-long friends depart for two weeks to the Skeena watershed carrying only the most basic essentials - flyfishing gear, jet-boat, and whiskey, in search of the majestic wild steelhead. Their quest will challenge them from the outset. Mechanical breakdowns, adverse weather conditions, and three day binges nearly tear the group apart, but persevere they do, and a new champion amongst steelhead fishermen is eventually crowned.

No kidding, its pretty incredible to see all of the best surfers on the QS from around the world shredding the chit out of our local waves. We've got three of our locals still in the event, and we're hoping Cath's brother Sepp wins his heat tomorrow morning and advances as well. Julian Wilson was RIPPING out there this morning, there's some serious talent around. Yesterday was a blue bird day with sunshine and great surf. Today it's back to Tofino in the winter time - wet, wet, WET and windy.

The girls had some seriously adverse conditions to deal with. Cath scored 3rd in shortboard and 1st in longboard. Bringing home the bacon!
