Just finished up two great days of fishing with Herk and Sue on the 54 Viking, same story as last time down here - TUNAS FOR MILES AND MILES AND MILES. Running around like crazy today to get the Maximo fueled and ready for the next week with the Casas', we head out for a 2 day overnight trip in the morning. I'll get some pics up tonight, the fishing is really excellent out there and all of the fish are averaging 150#'s with some bigger ones out there. Live bait is the key, they don't want the plastic right now.

Just finished loading the Maximo up with a ton of rations and gear for the week ahead, we're hoping to get out for an overnighter tomorrow and sunday at the islands if this fantastic weather holds.

Good luck, we had a frustrating week, last week. Fish everywhere, wouldn't take anything unlike the week prior, we had squid and cabbies. Sounds like they're back on the chew!

We were fishing 50w Shimanos with 100lb Spectra on 6' stand up rods, even though we used the chair on that day. 22' wind-on leaders attached to 6' of 130# floro. also had 2 50W avets in the mix.
